Passionate about music and history, Waana studies the social and cultural aspects that led to the emergence of various dance styles from the 1960s to the present and their expression in various communities. She is committed to passing on the tradition and sees dance as a form of education and activism.
She is part of the first generation of freestyle street dancers in Romania and has contributed to the development of all styles under the “street & club culture” umbrella by organizing hundreds of workshops, dance competitions, and events.
The Waacking dance class will not only teach you the physical movements but also the cultural context and history of this vibrant dance style. It’s a great way to express yourself creatively.
